I like the nice finished base you have for your sculpture! It looks great with this figure. You seem to do very well with bases when you use them. I am sure you have much experience and have determined what works for you and what does not.
I have made some armatures with linoleum block bases for the clay head and figure sculptures I plan to do. I've also made some bases from recycled cardboard boxes for other sculptures I plan to do (in wire, paper, and foil/plastercraft strips). The box bases I have wrapped in nice, thick, dark colored art paper, and affixed a felt bottom. They look pretty good, and I will put a label on them with the title of the sculpture and my signature.
I have to figure out how to attach the statue though to the box base. I may just set the wire sculptue on top, or perhaps poke the armature down into it until it reaches the bottom four corners of the box/base. Paper and foil sculptures can probably be glued to the base. Those are my ideas at the moment concerning the bases I have made. The helpful saleslady at Blick Art did not think much of my ideas, but we shall see how it goes. I think it will be all about experimentation!
